My buddy JZ decided at some point last season to start picking games by flipping a coin. It sounded like a pretty ridiculous idea, and it was…but I’ll be damned if that coin didn’t pick correctly against the spread at an uncanny rate.
That said, the coin is back for week 3 of the NFL season…and while I don’t think it will beat me this week, I’ve learned to respect the power of chance…so, fuck it, I’ll throw $5 on a coin-projected 10-team parlay.
From JZ:
Week 3 Coin Toss
A quarter will be tossed twice for each game played. I will be using a Quarter from the year 1967. The coin will be flipped in the air from a standing position, land on the ground, and read aloud.
1st coin toss: Heads = Home Team; Tails = Road Team
2nd coin toss: Heads = Over; Tails = Under
HOME TEAM = ALL CAPS
road team = lower case
