In what has quickly become one helluva week for the Dallas Cowboys, F&L is learning that they have now traded for Detroit Lions WR and Texas native, #11 Roy Williams.
I know, I know…they already have a Roy Williams. Well, don’t worry folks, we’ve also learned that Jerry Jones has hired a second payroll company to prevent Roy Williams’ checks from going into Roy Williams’ account.
The Lions receive the Cowboys’ 1st, 3rd, and 6th round 2009 draft picks in return.
Um, Jerry…you might wanna have that new payroll company take a look at that compensation you agreed to…we’re talking about Roy Williams (one 1,000 yard receiving season and no 10 TD seasons), right?
(All that aside, an Owens-Williams combo could be extremely dangerous, and Ed Werder reported that Tony Romo will spend the next four weeks at home crying while Brad Johnson gets his timing down with them.)
